This is actually the third time I've watched Meteor
Garden. I don' think I'll continue to watch part II though. It's obvious that
the only reason I've watched it for the third time is due to my love for it.
I've loved it ever since it came out. I loved it just the same the second and
third time. But of course, I'm more critical of it now since I'm a little
older. The first time I watched it I was 10/11 years old. The second time was
in my mid-teens.
I can say it's pretty cheesy but I still loved it.
It's both funny, sad and romantic. When I was younger I loved Hua Ze Lei but
after the second watch, I fell for Dao Ming Si. He's too handsome, haha. I
preferred his pineapple hairstyle so I was disappointed when his hairstyle
changed. ):
I picked a few things up as I watched it for the
third time. One of them being the appreciation for the characters. I really
like F4's personality especially Xi Men and Mei Zuo. I loved their loyalty. As
for Hua Ze Lei, I really liked his little plans to help Shan Cai and Dao Ming
Si. And of course, Dao Ming Si's funny short temper and child-like personality
is very entertaining. As for Shan Cai, she was cool but got pretty annoying. It
pissed me off how she quickly forgave people and trusted them. Especially the
fake cousin. I wanted to punch her several times. But I still give her some
credit.
The plot is very exaggerated but I guess that's one
of the things I love about it. But I do wish that Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si had
more time together. They sorta did at the end but the show has 27 episodes and
each one lasted for 40 minutes. Almost every single minute was all about
problems and bitches turning up one at a time to ruin their relationship. I
guess it's good it's a happy ending.
With many movies/drama/anime, I enjoy the beginning
the most. I really liked the time when Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si first met and
started to get to know each other, and challenging each other. But of course,
there was a lot of drama and it dragged a lot. Their time together was very
short too, so it's kind of sad. That's why I won't watch the second part since
it's all gonna be full of dragged out problems about them being apart. I only
ever want to see Dao Ming Si in his pineapple hairstyle.
I love this drama nonetheless.
