Tokyo Ghoul

Ok. This is not really a review, just an opinion thing. Pretty sure people will disagree with this but someone always will. Anyhow, I've spent my first few days of freedom struggling to do work but I ended up watching anime. Tokyou Ghoul was recommended by two friends already. They said it's good like Parasyte. So I gave it a try.

Turns out I hated it. I think it's one of the worst anime I've ever watched. And I don't usually watch till the end for most but I held out for this one, hoping shit would turn around but it didn't. They say there will be season three and I hope it bloody is good! Perhaps the manga is better since animes are usually messed up and totally different to the manga. Like Soul Eater! I loved it but the anime ending sucked-ish.

Anyway, here are the reasons why I think Tokyo Ghoul sucked.

First season started out great and cool. Some shit dragged out but it can't be helped. It's necessary for the main character to develop. Though, personally I wish Rize was more active. As in, controlling Kaneki a bit more and giving him that push of a power, which only ever happened... er... twice. But meh, wasn't such a big deal. What really grinded my gear was the inconsistency of the anime. Ever since season two started everything just went down the drain. We ended season one super fucking cool with Kaneki killing off Jason with his newly unleashed power by Rize. Then season two started with so much shit and most of the time they did long ass pauses of characters staring at each other instead of explaining shit (like the manga, as many people have pointed out) or split into more seasons rather than compressing a great anime! Now look at what happened to season two. God dammit.

Despite the fact that Kaneki killed Jason off in a matter of minutes and devoured him, he got his ass handed to him by a puny shit human Amon when they invaded Cochlea. And what was more irritating is the fact that he was eating too! I thought if ghouls feed they get extra power and yet a mere screaming Amon was slicing him up? Give me a break, pls. And the fact that guy Shinohara is almost as tough as the fucking ghouls and hasn't died yet is just pushing it. These humans are somehow super human with their ability to move as fast as the ghouls. Really? And that Juzo kid concept is just too stupid. His craziness somehow gives him power? There's just no fucking logic. Ghouls are powerful cos they are monsters to begin with, but the fact that these humans can stand up to them and the very same people from 10 years ago are still alive is just too fucking sad. Compared to Parasyte, the humans were portrayed better. Yes, they took out many parasytes and were almost one to one with them but they did it in a way in which it made more fucking sense. They just rounded more people and more weapons. Oh and Amon, does seven thousand push ups? Er, ok. I know the ghoul concept is not realistic either, but these humans are not even humans at all. They should have just changed the whole concept. Ghouls vs. super heroes or some shit since the humans seem to be like superman or whatever the fuck. And shitty Amon does serious damage to Kaneki. Yes, the ghoul who has two kagunas and killed Jason! I guess the ultimate weapon to kill off the ghouls is fucking push ups! Genius, nee????

I guess I'm just annoyed at the way the humans were portrayed. It could have  been better. They could have matched with the ghouls in another way and more human like. If that makes any sense. And the only humans that died were that batshit crazy Mado, the nobody glasses guy, puny Seido (and Amon?). Uh. Ok. Toughnut humans hard to kill and recover super fucking fast like the goddamn ghouls. They only lost half of their troupes at the mall too, when they tried to take out the powerful Aogiri. I at least hope Amon is fucking dead cos if he isn't then the story is really stupid at this point now.

Maybe season three - if they really are making it - gets better. Or maybe the manga is. But right now I'm too angry to continue with Tokyo Ghoul. So massively disappointed.
